Get extra credits on GHD Island on Poptropica!

Hi everyone! Do you know the super-cool online game, Poptropica? It's a virtual world created by Diary of a Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney. It's so fun! Me and Princess Dagger play it all the time!

Within the world of Poptropica there are islands, and each island has its own theme and adventure to complete. You can learn more about Poptropica in this blog post, and check out this video that shows off our very own Galactic Hot Dogs Island!

Poptropica is so excited about The Wiener Strikes Back that they're celebrating our book release with us: When you finish an island for the first time in Poptropica, you get 150 credits to spend in the Poptropica Store -- but this weekend you'll get 300 credits when you finish GHD Island! And if you've finished GHD Island before, you get 150 credits for finishing it again. SO COOL!

These extra credits are only happening through this weekend, so get going and play -- you'll love it!

Happy Friday,
Cosmoe

Reading group guide for Galactic Hot Dogs: The Wiener Strikes Back!

Hey everyone! This post is especially for you educator, librarian, and parental types. The book people at Simon & Schuster created a super coolio reading group guide for my book!

It's got pre-reading questions, discussion questions, and even extension activities. The activities are awesome and get readers to do fun stuff like make their own comic strips and invent their own wicked fun games like my own Smash Hammer Derby Blast! Check out the guide here.

There's also a guide for my first book: Galactic Hot Dogs: Cosmoe's Wiener Getaway. You can get that here.

Why not read BOTH books with your middle-grade book club or kiddos? You'll have a blast! Get your books here!

Later dudes,
Cosmoe

Wahoo! The Wiener Strikes Back is now available everywhere!

It's here! It's my book birthday! HOT DOG!

Right this very minute, you can now buy Galactic Hot Dogs: The Wiener Strikes Back online and at bookstores everywhere! Check out the super sweet cover:

And the initial reviews are pretty fantastic! Yesterday I posted the Booklist review, and now here's one from Kirkus Reviews:
Brallier and Maguire bring their webcomic (now with a home full of games and activities and videos at Funbrain.com and Poptropica.com) back for a second venturesome print volume with collaborator Kelley. Jagged comic panes and captioned illustrations, some full-page, propel the story and add to the laffs ... will satisfy the appetites of fans of the first.
I think this calls for cake, don't you?

Happy book birthday to all my friends involved with Galactic Hot Dogs: The Wiener Strikes Back!!!

More to come,
Cosmoe

Booklist digs The Wiener Strikes Back!

Sneak peek of art from The Wiener Strikes Back!

Holy schmoley, you guys! Tomorrow's the day my new book Galactic Hot Dogs: The Wiener Strikes Back is available everywhere!

The first reviews are coming in and so far, so awesome. Booklist says:
The crew of the interstellar hot dog stand Neon Wiener return, ready to foil another one of evil Queen Dagger’s dastardly schemes. This epic, heavily illustrated follow-up to Cosmoe’s Wiener Getaway (2015) has just as many heroic feats, narrow squeaks, mighty explosions, monster fights, and crude jokes as the first adventure. Dashingly coiffured Earth boy Cosmoe, his two alien sidekicks, and Princess Dagger, the semi-evil daughter of the aforementioned queen, literally hitch their wagon to a traveling circus that turns out to be capturing aliens to create an army of mind-controlled monsters. Time to, as Cosmoe puts it, “STOP THE BAD DUDES AND SAVE THE DAY!” Readers of the Galactic Hot Dogs webcomic, from which the series is spun, will know they are in for quite a romp.
That's a pretty great review, but my biggest takeaway from it? I am DASHINGLY COIFFURED.

Yes. Yes, I am. And I'm not going to let Princess Dagger forget it.

See you here on my book birthday,
Cosmoe
